 A woman reportedly chopped off her niece's finger as punishment for an undisclosed offence in Onitsha, Anambra State

 

Details about the incident are still sketchy but the Facebook user who posted the photos on Wednesday, September 23, said that the 'devil woman' hails from Enugu State.

 

"U people should come and see Ekwensu Nwanyi ooooo An onitsha based Enugu state woman cuts off the finger of her niece living with her" he wrote.

Unknown gunmen kidnap chief press secretary to Taraba State Governor

Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. Tijani, Port Harcourt oil thief bags jail term

                 A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has committed one Mustapha Tijani to prison for oil theft. The convict was prosecuted by the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a one-count charge of dealing on petroleum product without the appropriate licence. Meanwhile, Tijani pleaded guilty to the charge. The count reads: “That you, Mustapha Tijani, being the driver on board Mack Tanker with Registration Number, ABUJA: ABC 260 ZU, on or about the 15th day of January 2020 at LNG, Eastern Bypass, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, within the jurisdiction of honourable court loaded illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil without authority and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 4(1) of the Petroleum Act, CAP P10 of the Revised Edition (Laws of Federation Nigeria) 2007 and punishable under Section 4(6) of the same Act.” After a careful review of the case, Justice Oshoma convicted and sentenced the defendant
