Now, the lady fears her grandmother might try the same thing with her brother. The Twitter user said she was the one who came across the suicide note her uncle left but she kept it to herself. Now, she says her grandmother, who is also emotionally abusive, in addition to being physically abusive, has began showing interest in her brother and she's afraid she'll sexually abuse him too. Boko Haram finding it difficult to recruit more members – Buhari

                                          Boko Haram commanders President Muhammadu Buhari says the era of Boko Haram terrorism is gradually drawing to end, with the narrowing of the recruitment base of the insurgents, and renewed onslaught by the Nigerian Army. 18 commissioners of police become AIGs

IGP, Mohammed Adamu The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 18 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to the rank of Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), according to a statement. The statement by the commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr Ikechukwu Ani in Abuja on Thursday, also said that the commission had approved the promotion of 33 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) to the substantive rank of commissioners of police. He noted that the promotions were part of the decisions taken at the meeting of the commission in Abuja. The officers promoted to the rank of AIGs are: Wilson Inalegwu, former CP in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ibrahim Larmode, former EFCC chairman, Musa Kimo, also former CP, FCT, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom, among others . How Police rescued 20 kidnap victims in Edo

Kidnapping The Police Command in Edo, on Friday said it rescued no fewer than 20 kidnap victims across the state in the last two weeks. Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Olusegun Odumosu, disclosed this in Benin while briefing journalists on the command’s achievements during the period. Odumosu also revealed that 83 suspects were arrested for various crimes in the state, adding that 55 of them were held in connection with cultism, and 15 suspects for armed robbery. He said that 11 suspects were arrested for alleged murder, and that the murder suspects included five persons arrested in connection with the murder of a police officer in Benin metropolis on Saturday.                      Oke The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday failed to arraign the sacked Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, and his wife, Folashade because both of them may have left the country. The anti-graft agency had on Wednesday filed four charges against the Okes before the Federal High Court in Lagos. They were scheduled to be arraigned on Friday before Justice C.J. Aneke in connection with the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 (totalling N13bn) removed by the EFCC from Flat 7B Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos linked to them.                                        The trial of a former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, continued on February 1, 2019 with Justice Lewis Allagoa of a Federal High Court, Kano, admitting in evidence, the statements made by Shekarau and two others with whom he is facing money laundering charges. Shekarau is standing trial along with Aminu Bashir Wali and Mansur Ahmed on a six-count charge of conspiracy and money laundering to the tune of N950, 000, 000 (Nine Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) only. They are alleged to have taken possession of the said sum, which was “part of an unlawful act of Diezani Alison-Madueke”, a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, for gratification purpose, in the build-up to the 2015 general election. Lagos state police have arrested a man believed to be the leader of a gay group, and a teenager for engaging in homosexuality. Prince Chinecherem, 32, is the ringleader of a gay gang who engage in their illegal acts in Lekki, Lagos police claim. He was arrested alongside a 16-year-old boy. According to Lagos state Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal, Chinecherem was using the teenager as a commercial sex worker. Not only was Chinecherem having sex with the boy, he was also pimping him out to other gay men. Edgal added that both Chinecherem and the teenager were found to be HIV positive after a test was carried out, which means their customers are likely to have contracted same through them.                                     A woman charged her cheating ex £100 for him to be able to talk to her and screenshots of her chat with him are going viral on Twitter. 19-year-old Toni Osborne recently shared two screenshots on Twitter. One of the screenshots shows her demanding £100 from her ex for him to have the privilege of talking to her. The other screenshot was of him actually sending the money. Her ex had messaged her asking to talk, and explained that he would be willing to do anything to have a bit of her time. Toni says that the guy had ‘cheated, abused’ and broken up with her over three years ago, so she thought asking for the money was ‘compensation’. Man stabs his mother to death during a heated argument in Nasarawa

                             middle-aged man identified as Michael Habila, has been arrested by men of the Nasarawa state police command for alleged killing his mother during a heated argument at their home in Lafia the state capital on Wednesday January 30th. A statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Samaila Usman, reads ”Our men on patrol received a distress call on Jan. 30, at 10:00 hours that a mob was beating one Michael Habila of Tudun Gwandara in Lafia. They rescued him from the  mob and later discovered that he had allegedly stabbed his mother due to misunderstanding. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died as confirmed by the doctor'' According to Usman, the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

My association with Ganduje does not diminish my war against corruption- Buhari tells Nigerians
