Gunmen kidnap Katsina assembly chief whip
The daughter of the Chief Whip of Katsina state House of Assembly, Bello Abdu Danmusa has been reportedly kidnapped.
Hajiya Amina Danmusa is married to Muftahu Yakubu Ciro in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State,  where the incidence occurred.
According to Daily Trust, although no ransom has so far been made, sources close to the family said the incident took place when the bandits attacked her residence purportedly to kidnap her husband who wasn’t available at that time.
Attempts were also made that night to kidnap another elderly woman, Baba Maiwaina, who sustained injuries and was abandoned by the abductors.
In a similar development, a Medical doctor, Dr. MJ Yusuf’s two children were kidnapped by gunmen in Jibia town, Jiba Local Government Area of Katsina state.
It was gathered that the abductors stormed his residence picked up the wife and the two kids at about 1 am on Monday night.
Sources say the wife fell off the motorcycle of the abductors along the way but they went away with the two kids.
Already, N100million have been asked for the release of the children.

Eleven Nigerians die of COVID-19 in South Africa

  The Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) Says 11 Nigerians have so far died of COVID-19 in the country.   In a statement released, the president of the union, Adetola Olubajo, said that the COVID-19 deaths were for Gauteng Province alone, adding that the union is yet to receive figures from eight other provinces in South Africa. Two herbalists arrested for fraud in Enugu State

                       Two suspected fraudsters, Akin Ogunsemi and Shina Fatola, who specialised in masquerading as herbalists to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, have landed in police net in Enugu. According to Punchng, the suspects are said to be indigenes of Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State. They were apprehended at Ukwuoji, Enugu, on May 1, 2018, by men of the police Anti-Cult Unit. Items recovered from them are some fake foreign currencies, charms and other suspected shrine materials.
