20 PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS RESCUED

A huge sigh of relief as 20 prospective NYSC members who were abducted in Imo State have regained their freedom. πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ The young graduates were abducted on October 1 while travelling along the Owerri–Onitsha Road to their NYSC orientation camps. After days in captivity, they were successfully rescued on October 7 at Amakohia Ubi, Imo State, following a coordinated search-and-rescue operation involving security agencies. They have since been taken for medical assessment and necessary care. Thank God they are alive and free. πŸ™πŸ½ Our thoughts remain with their families and everyone who stood by them during those painful days. We also commend the security personnel involved in the rescue operation. But this is a reminder that the safety of our young people must remain a national priority. May God continue to protect Nigerians travelling across the country and bring an end to kidnapping and insecurity. πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ Nigeria must become safer for everyone. #NYSC #Nigeria #ImoState #BreakingNew...

How to Protect Your WhatsApp Account From Hackers and Scammers in 2026

Never give that code to another person , even if they claim to be a WhatsApp employee, bank representative, friend or family member. A scammer may say: “I accidentally sent a code to your number. 10 Online Scams Nigerians Should Be Careful About in 2026

The internet has made life easier for millions of Nigerians. We can transfer money, shop, apply for jobs, invest, meet people, run businesses and communicate with friends from anywhere. But there is another side to this convenience: online fraud is becoming more sophisticated. Scammers no longer need to meet their victims physically. A fake WhatsApp account, website, social-media profile or convincing message can be enough to steal money or personal information. Here are 10 online scams Nigerians should be particularly careful about in 2026. 1. Fake Investment and Ponzi Schemes “Invest ₦100,000 today and receive ₦150,000 in 30 days.” Promises like this should immediately raise a red flag. Fraudsters often create professional-looking websites, WhatsApp groups and social-media pages to make fake investment platforms appear legitimate. The Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission warned in May 2026 about increasing promotion of unregistered online investment schemes , incl...
