RRS nab Man with 134 raps of Indian Hemp packaged in drug sachets in Oshodi (photos)

Operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command‏ have arrested a 27 year old Road Union member who had '134 raps of Indian Hemp' packaged in drug sachets with him in Oshodi, Lagos.  According to the suspect, Tayo Ayoade, even men dressed up in suits and ties patronize him.

Photo: NDLEA intercepts 7,073 kg of Cannabis valued at N70.7 million ($19,7486.03) concealed in building materials

The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) says it has intercepted a shipment of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa concealed in building materials. According to the NDLEA , Edo State Commander, Mr. Wakawa Buba, the drug packed in 409 bags with a total weight of 7,073 kg was ingeniously concealed in a consignment of building materials in a truck with Ondo Registration Number XB 625 WEN. The driver of the truck Monday Amusoga, 39 and another accomplice, Omebu Kingsley, 30, both from Ndokwa West Local Council of Delta State had been arrested in connection with the seized weeds valued at N70 .7 million ($19,7486.03) He said investigation has shown that the truck departed Akure, Ondo State on its way to Abi in Delta State . Amusoga, who lives in Benin City and Kingsley, based in Delta State, are currently being interrogated in line with investigative procedures. Suspected armed robbers, drug dealers burn down police station in Abia state; free 2 inmates

A police station at Ahiaukwu Olokoro, in Umuahia South LGA, Abia state was on Tuesday burnt down by hoodlums suspected to armed robbers and drug dealers. The hoodlums attacked the police station at night and wreaked havoc. They burnt one operational vehicle attached to the police station, as well as one keke napep parked at the station. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, confirmed the attack. He said some policemen acting on a tip-off, had raided the Ahiaukwu Olokoro area and arrested four suspected drug dealers and armed robbers. After the arrest, while officers in the post were about to transfer the suspects to the police division at Ubakala, hoodlums attacked them and aided in the escape of two of the suspects earlier detained. Breaking:Unknown gunmen invade Magu’s house, kill policeman

Unknown gunmen last night invaded the bungalow farmhouse of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu and killed a policeman. According to findings, the gunmen stormed the farmhouse in Karshi in the Federal Capital Territory at about 10pm Tuesday and exchanged fire with the policemen on sentry. A police Sergeant was hit and he died instantly. This is the second time that the same the house will be attacked by unknown elements. 

In 2016, Lagos State recorded 837 violent deaths - New report

In a new report released by the Nigeria Watch Project, Lagos State recorded 837 violent death in 2016. The report is the 6th Annual Report on lethal violence in Nigeria covers the period between 1 January and 31 December 2016. It has been written at the University of Ibadan, with the support of the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP) and the French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA-Nigeria). “In Lagos in 2016, it recorded 837 violent deaths, including 460 resulting from various criminal incidents. In contrast, the police recorded 246 murders, or a low rate of 2.7 homicides for 100,000 people as per the 2006 census, against a national average of 20 according to UNODC. Woman bit her ex boyfriend’s testicle out with her teeth for turning down a threesome.

A woman has been convicted of biting her ex-boyfriend’s testicle off with her teeth after he disagreed to perform a threesome with her. According to Scottish outlet STV, Nunzia Del Viscio, 43, carried out the attack in her victim's flat in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 23 last year. When Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving a 999 call, they found Del Viscio outside the flat with blood on her teeth and face. At her trial in Edinburgh Sheriff Court, she claims she was acting in self-defense when she ripped 44-year-old Marcello Palma’s testicle off with her teeth. She also admitted having drunk a lot of Vodka and taken drugs in a nightclub toilet earlier that night. EFCC FREEZES N905M ($2.51M) IN SUSPECTED SLUSH ACCOUNT

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen about N905, 941,696.87 ($2,510,000.00) in an account traced to a sole proprietorship company Rivlink International. The huge inflows into the suspected slush account allegedly came from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority The owner of the company, Christian Robinson, is deceased. A man, Kenneth Koroma, made futile attempts to withdraw the cash. A source said: “The EFCC received an intelligence report on November 2 alleging that a sole proprietorship firm, Rivlink International, had huge inflows from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority in an account with a new generation bank. The said account had a closing balance of N905, 941,696.87. The company was registered in 2000 using a fictitious name of one Christian Robinson.
