Suspect                                        EFCC Arraigns Two for Internet Fraud The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Enugu Zonal Office on January 15, 2019 arraigned two suspected fraudsters, Nnamdi Madu, 24, and Darlington Ifeakachi Nwali, 24, before Justice A.M. Liman of the Federal High Court, Enugu on a 10-count charge bordering on “intent to defraud and possession of fraudulent documents containing false pretences” contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act  2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act. Twitter storm in Nigerians divided over the news of businessman, Asiwaju Michael, committing suicide hours after he was accused of rape

                                      Nigerians on twitter are currently divided in their reactions to the news of businessman, Asiwaju Michael, who committed suicide hours after he was accused of raping a number of Nigerian women. Asiwaju was on January 12th, accused of forcefuly having sex with some women. An allegation he denied and afterwards threatened to commit suicide. Some Nigerians asked him to go ahead while others asked him to drop all his worldly possessions such as his iPhone with them before he killed himself. True to his threat, he killed himself on January 13th by consuming the popular insecticide, Sniper. Asiwaju is currently the number 1 topic on twitter and this is how people are reacting to his demise. Tragedy in Mexico, 20 oil pipeline thieves die, 71 others injured

At least 20 people were killed and 71 others injured on Friday when a pipeline ruptured by suspected fuel thieves exploded in central Mexico as dozens of people tried to fill up containers. Mexican television footage showed flames leaping into the night sky in the municipality of Tlahuelilpan, in Hidalgo state north of Mexico City, as people shouted and cried for help.   “The preliminary report I’ve been passed is very serious, they’re telling me 20 people have died, charred. I urge the entire population not to be complicit in fuel theft. Apart from being illegal, it puts your life and those of your families at risk” Hidalgo’s Governor Omar Fayad said. Alleged serial rapist, Asiwaju commits suicide at a hotel in Festac hours after posting suicide note on Twitter

Michael Asiwaju founder of Asiwaju Royal Furniture in Ojo, Lagos popularly known as Mike Cash, has commited suicide following several rape allegations against him on social media. Asiwaju was said to have taken a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper and was met lifeless in his hotel room around 12am on January 13, 2019.  Shortly before he committed suicide, he had expressed his intention via his Twitter handle, Asiwaju_limited, to end his life. The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the suicide saying two bottles of Sniper was recovered from the incident scene.
