Nigerians woke up to news about the death of Michael Asiwaju founder of Asiwaju Royal Furniture in Ojo, Lagos popularly known as Mike Cash, who commited suicide following several rape allegations against him on social media.

Late Asiwaju was said to have taken a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper and was met lifeless in his hotel room around 12am on January 13, 2019 shortly after he posted a suicide note on Twitter.

A Sichuan Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing on Monday and it was later reported that the reason for the emergency landing was because the cockpit windshield blew out and almost tossed the pilot out of the plane. But for his seat belt, he would have been sucked out completely. Captain Liu Chuanjian has been hailed as a hero on social media after having to land the Airbus A319 manually.
