20 PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS RESCUED

A huge sigh of relief as 20 prospective NYSC members who were abducted in Imo State have regained their freedom. 🇳🇬

The young graduates were abducted on October 1 while travelling along the Owerri–Onitsha Road to their NYSC orientation camps.

After days in captivity, they were successfully rescued on October 7 at Amakohia Ubi, Imo State, following a coordinated search-and-rescue operation involving security agencies. They have since been taken for medical assessment and necessary care.

Thank God they are alive and free. 🙏🏽

Our thoughts remain with their families and everyone who stood by them during those painful days.

We also commend the security personnel involved in the rescue operation.

But this is a reminder that the safety of our young people must remain a national priority.

May God continue to protect Nigerians travelling across the country and bring an end to kidnapping and insecurity.

🇳🇬 Nigeria must become safer for everyone.
