A pregnant woman, her two children, and one other person were killed in an accident that involved one tanker, one truck, and six motorcycles at Ikare, Akoko North-East local government in Ondo state on Saturday August 29.

 

Several persons were also injured in the accident.

According to reports, a tanker conveying diesel had a brake failure and crashed into a truck, which eventually crushed the commercial motorcyclists.

 

The spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo, Omotola Ogungbawo, confirmed four deaths from the incident. However, eyewitnesses claim the death toll is eight.

 

The bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited in a mourn.

US rapper, FBG Duck shot dead in 'drive-by shooting' while out shopping in Chicago

                           American rapper, FBG Duck was shot and killed in a "drive-by shooting" while he was out shopping in Gold Coast, Chicago on Tuesday, August 4. EFCC Arraigns Rivers Oil Chieftain For Pipeline Obstruction

The Chairman, Onelga Oil and Gas Well Heads Landlord Families of Rivers State, Chikobi Alali was on Wednesday arraigned at a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt by the Economic and Financial Crimes commission, EFCC, on a 16 count- charge bordering on conspiracy and tampering with oil pipelines.  Alali, a community leader overseeing the activities of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company in his neighbourhood, was arrested by men and officers of Operation Delta Safe on 18 March, 2017 in Igbogene, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State for tampering with oil pipelines’ well heads and disruption of crude oil flow.  He was transferred to the EFCC for further investigations and prosecution.
