Boko Haram suicide bombers attack military barrack in Borno


Suspected Boko Haram members attacked a market inside 33 Army Artillery barracks on the outskirts of Maiduguri, capital of Borno state last night. The suicide bombers sneaked into the barracks in a tricycle at about 9.30pm and detonated their explosives at a relaxation spot.
“The attackers took advantage of the high influx into the mammy market as a result of the demolition of brothels in the city. The Borno state government has destroyed brothels in the city centre, people now troop to the barracks which is still full of life. The suicide bombers sneaked in and struck within the crowd.” a military source said
The dead victims and those that were injured in the attack were rushed to the Zannah, a member of the Civilian joint task force (CJTF), a local vigilance group, told TheCable that many people were killed while those who sustained injuries were evacuated to the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital.
This attack comes four days after amultipole suicide attacks claimed the lives of 31 persons in Damboa.

US deports 34 Nigerians over various offences

34 Nigerians were today deported from the United States of America for allegedly committing various offences in the country. The deportees comprising 32 males and two females,arrived the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMlA), Lagos at about 2.30 p.m in a chartered Omni Air International aircraft with Registration Number W342AX.  Confirming the deportation, the spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, said the deportees were alleged to have committed criminal offences, with one involved in narcotics while others were alleged to have committed immigration-related offences

7-year-old migrant girl dies of dehydration and exhaustion while in custody of US Border Patrol

                            A 7-year-old girl from Guatemala has died of dehydration and shock after she was taken into Border Patrol custody last week for crossing from Mexico into the United States illegally with her father and a large group of migrants along a remote span of New Mexico desert.
