SCDC arrests illegal private guards in Osun State

The PGC and PR Unite of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun state Command on Friday, went on "Operation Flush out illegal Private Guards" in the state.
Many private guards were arrested and sensitisation was made in some private institutions visited.

EFCC arrests man posing as Magu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has arrested one Felix Idowu for allegedly impersonating its Acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu. In a statement, Spokesman of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, said the suspect was a real estate agent and graduate of Political Science. Uwujaren said Idowu was found with documents which had the forged signature of the EFCC boss, and would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded. “Prior to his arrest, the EFCC received intelligence report that the suspect, while posing as operative of the EFCC, requested for money in order ‘to kill’ a petition purportedly written against the complainant. “The EFCC swung into action by asking the complainant to play along. Woman killed in Ibadan after serial murder suspect Shodipe fled police custody

                                      The Oyo State Police Command now has blood in its hands after a fresh murder was committed in the Akinyele area of Ibadan, the capital. The murder happened a few days after an alleged serial killer Sunday Shodipe escaped from police custody. A middle-aged woman, Mrs Olufunmilayo, was macheted to death on Friday, with Shodipe suspected as the killer, as the killing bore his imprimatur. The latest murder infuriated youths in the area to stage a protest against the police.
