Breaking: Winnie Mandela has died at the age of 81
Anti-apartheid activist, Nomzamo Winifred Madikizela-Mandela‚ has died at the age of 81.
Her Personal Assistant‚ Zodwa Zwane‚ who confirmed the struggle veteran’s death on Monday afternoon, April 2, said the family would be issuing a statement later in the day.
Born in Bizana in the Eastern Cape in 1936‚ she moved to Johannesburg to study social work after matriculating.
She met lawyer and anti-apartheid activist Nelson Mandela in 1957 and they were married a year later. They had two children together.
However‚ her marriage life with Mandela was short-lived‚ as he was arrested in 1963 and sentenced to life imprisonment for treason. Mandela was eventually released in 1990.

Trump announces deal between Bahrain & Israel to normalize relations in drive for Middle east peace

US President, Donald Trump, has announced that Israel and the Gulf state of Bahrain have reached a landmark deal to fully normalise their relations, weeks after announcing a peace deal between Israel and the UAE.   For decades, most Arab states have boycotted Israel, insisting they would only establish ties after the Palestinian land dispute and city of Jerusalem issue was resolved.   But surprisingly, last month the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed to normalise its relationship with Israel, after Trump intervened and now Bahrain has followed suit. Police arrest 51 suspected IPOB members in Umuahia

                                  51 suspected members of proscribed  Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) have been arrested by the police. The members of the secessionist group who were seen parading themselves as members of “Judaism’’, in Umuahia, were arrested for allegedly being in possession of different insignias of the outlawed IPOB.
