A police Officer at Kapujani Police Station in Katakwi district, Uganda shot dead three people, including his girlfriend and the Officer In charge of the station before drowning himself in a river.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango said the incident happened on Tuesday at the Kapujani Anti-stock Theft Detach.
Onyango reveals that the incident occurred when Police Constable Alfred Otto Omara was summoned to the Detach following a misunderstanding with his girlfriend, Esther Anyaiti at around 6pm.
“He (Otto) was summoned by the OC Lillian Nanduttu to resolve their issues with the girlfriend Anyaiti who had reported him after a misunderstanding. In the middle of the meeting Otto lost his temper and shot the OC, his girlfriend, another police officer Julius Eremu and an unidentified person was injured on the leg.” said DSP Onyango.

After the shooting, Otto fled the scene with his gun. His body was recovered on Wednesday morning in River Bisina, where he is alleged to have drowned himself.
“Our divers are on water trying to trace his gun,” Onyango disclosed.
The four bodies are currently at Katakwi Hospital for postmortem.

3 people die, 8 injured during a birthday party clash in Bauchi State

                        The Bauchi State police command have confirmed that three persons were killed and eight others injured in a clash that erupted at a birthday party on Sunday night in Lushi Ward in Bauchi. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kamal Abubakar, confirmed the incident saying that 75 suspects had been arrested in connection with the clash. He said that two houses were burnt during the incident and that the situation has been brought under control. He also said that investigation was going on to get to the root of the crisis. Police Arrest 'Three Notorious Kidnappers' Of Channels TV Reporter Friday Okeregbe

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) says it has arrested “three notorious persons” involved in the kidnap of Friday Okeregbe, the Channels reporter who covers the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
