Final year Imo State University student shot dead by unknown man on her 23rd birthday

A 400 level Banking and Finance student of the Imo State University, Owerri, was reportedly shot dead by an unknown gunman on Wednesday, March 21, her 23rd birthday.
Confirming the incident, Victor Adiele, President of Banking and Finance students association  (NABAFS), said the news came as a great shock to the department.

"It's a black Thursday for entire students of banking and finance*
With tears of agony, bitterness, the entire students of *NABAFS* mourn the death of their beloved colleague, course mate, friend, sister *Ibeh Kelechi Assumpta* *(Kay cee)* , a 400 level student, soon to be graduate by August, who was shot dead yesterday *21st March* by unknown..
Yesterday happens to be her 23rd birthday celebration. 
So unfortunate she weren't able to celebrate her day to d end.
*NABAFS* most especially the *400 level students* are bitterly wounded, depressed, melancholy, of d exit of their colleague, friend , seat mate, exam partner, etc.. 
The memory of our just concluded first semester exams still lingers in my mind as if it were yesterday..
In the book of *Ecclesiastes chapter 3.verse 1-8*  made us to understand that to everything under d surface of earth there is time, a time to live, a time to die, a time to love, a time to hate.
We can't question God Almighty, all we ask of You Lord, *accept and may her soul rest in the blossom of our Lord Jesus Christ Amen* 
Our *FATHER* who art in heaven, guide and protect the entire students of *NABAFS* , we pray there shall be *no more death* , the labors of our parents shall  not be in vain, our life's will not be terminated here in *IMSU* ....all these we ask through *JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AMEN* .
With tears of melancholy  in our eyes, we wish our own *Kay Cee* a farewell. We will surely miss you, and your deeds will forever remain in our heart.

Gas explosion razes 15 shops in Kaduna State

On Saturday evening, a gas explosion burnt down 15 shops on Ibrahim Taiwo Road by Abeokuta street in Kaduna State. It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 5:40 pm. before residents mobilised to put out the fire before it spread further in the densely populated area. Most of the shops affected by the gas explosion contained kitchen equipment, gas cylinders and refiling facilities. The residents chased away fire service personnel from the Kaduna State University, who arrived over an hour after the fire started.  One of the shop owners, Ifeanyi Eze said the fire started as a result of electrical surge which led to heavy explosion in one of the shops selling gas cylinders. Nigerian man allegedly killed by his wife in Cameroon

                 A Nigerian man resident in Yaounde, Cameroon was allegedly killed by his wife after he discovered she was having an affair with the husband's apprentice who also lived in the house with them. Chinenye Adaeze Okeke allegedly beat Ugochukwu Okeke to death with the help of the apprentice during an argument over the affair going on in their home. They then wrapped him up and tried to dispose of the body but were caught and are now in police custody. The couple have 5 kids together and are both natives of Anambra state. Ugochukwu AKA Alino was the only son of his mother. Nnewi youths stormed the family home of the wife in Mabanagu, Otolo Nnewi on Saturday and went on a rampage. They allegedly demolished the house. The youths also left the house with a photo of Chinenye which they paraded round the village with while mourning her alive.
