Ndung’u, is the immediate former MCA for Riruta Ward. He was remanded in police custody until Monday to allow police more time to conduct investigations.
Police are probing claims that the couple has been having domestic quarrels before Njambi fled with her five-year-old son. Njambi has been living in a rented apartment at Thindigwa, along Kiambu Road.

It was gathered that Njambi’s husband and three other people picked her from home and drove away with her in a saloon car. She was raped and doused with acid and later abandoned without clothes at an isolated location at Kamiti Corner in Ruiru.
According to witnesses, Njambi was still speaking when she was rescued by Good Samaritans and taken to Kiambu Hospital.
Her uncle, Peter Ndung’u, told Nairobi News that Njambi had suffered 70 per cent burns.
Ndung’u was arrested and detained at Kiambu Police Station. He was taken to court on Friday morning but remanded to allow more time for the police to conduct further investigations.
                Dear Apple Gal,
My dearest sister..U will soon rise up, you will walk again, you will not die....God is with you
We will pray for you! You will never die! Its very sad news that this idiot above here: Former Liruta MCA alias 'Jua Kali' could plot for the kidnapping, raping and sulphuric acid body mutilation of this young beautiful girl simply because she decided to walk out the unworking marriage! As we speak now the devil is in jail awaiting investigations. Our daughter is in ICU at Kenyatta hospital after sustaining serious injuries! We will not stop until Justice prevails!!
