Photos: Man who tried to kidnap a child and grandma arrested in Gbagada

Tuesday afternoon around the Gbagada axis of Lagos State, this kidnapper was caught when he tried to kidnapped a baby and the baby's Grandma. According to an eye witness to spoke to LIB, 'the mother of the little baby just parked, left the Granny and baby in the car so she could use a nearby ATM.
She left the car engine on and before she returned the kidnapper entered the car and was drove off'.



He continued to tell us that, 'thank God for this soldier guy that just chased him down with a motorbike and it was really rough. The car somersaulted and the baby and grandma were both rescued with little injuries'.
The kidnapper has since been handed over to the Police.

Lagos state government revokes 2018 land use charge

                                             The Lagos State Government has canceled the 2018 land use charge. The state Commissioner for Finance, Rabiu Olowo, announced this at a press briefing which held today, August 5. He said the government is also reverting to pre-2018 land use charges. Olowo added that the state government has decided to waive the land use charges for 2017, 2018, and 2019 which is totaled at N5.6 billion.   Recall that in 2018, the immediate past governor of the state, Akinwumi Ambode, increased the charge on a property solely occupied by the owner for residential purpose to 0.076 percent per annum from 0.0394 percent. The rate for an investment property fully occupied by tenants or third party(ies) was increased from 0.394 percent per annum to 0.76 percent. Two friends arrested for allegedly gangraping 17-year-old girl in Jigawa

  Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command, have arrested two men, Abubakar Usman (18yrs) and Ya'u Sa'idu (20yrs) both of Gidan Ruwa Quarters, Kazaure LGA for allegedly gangraping a Seventeen (17) year old girl of the same address.   A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, Adamu Shehu, says the two friends connived and gained unlawful entry into the family house of the victim on Wednesday, 9th September 2020 around 4am.   ''They met her asleep in her room with her two sisters.
