"No policeman should extort or arrest you for having a car with tinted windows" - Lagos PPRO, Dolapo Badmus

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 command, Adamu Ibrahim, MNI, has directed that police officers to stop arresting people for using vehicles with tinted glass.

Zonal Police P.R.O, SP Dolapo Badmus relayed this message, saying that no police officer has the right to arrest anyone for using tinted glasses and they have been asked to stop demanding for renewal of tinted permit. She however advised the public to get their tinted glass permit which is non renewable.

The man runs a verified Instagram page with 262, 000 followers with claims that he is the Emir. The monarch last year denied running an Instagram page which a lot of Nigerians were following.                                   Atleast 5 people were killed and several others injured in fresh attacks on Fulani settlements by suspected Mambilla militia in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State on Saturday. The spokesman for the Taraba State Police Command, ASP David Misal, who confirmed the incident said the crisis started on Thursday over a land dispute between Fulani and Mambilla in Yerimaru village and later snowballed into neighbouring villages. Misal said that units of mobile policemen and soldiers from the 20 battalion in Serti have been dispatched to the area to maintain law and order, adding that several homes were burnt down and many cows killed and stolen during the attack. Killings: Group demands resignation of Police IG

                              A human rights group, National Intervention Group of Nigeria, has called for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for alleged loss of morality to continue in office given his inability to tackle killings across the country. The convener of the group, Segun Akinloye, made this call on Tuesday at a press conference in Abuja on the state of the nation. Mr Akinloye said “the lives of Nigerians, even in Nigeria appears nowadays to be cheaper and more worthless than ever before witnessed or recorded in history.” He frowned at the powerlessness of the police to abate the killings, warning that Nigeria may be heading to division and eventual collapse if urgent steps are not taken.
