Thief stabs Physiotherapist to death in Kano

Atiku Tijjani Shuaibu Rabo Ringim, a Physiotherapist who works with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital has been reportedly stabbed to death by a phone thief.

The deceased's aunt and Deutsche Welle reporter, Zainab Rabo Ringim confirmed the death of the physiotherapist via a Facebook post. She also told newsmen that the incident occurred at about 8:00pm on Thursday September 10.

Zainab wrote on Facebook;

My son, my nephew ,Atiku Tijjani Shuaibu Rabo Ringim was killed by unknown persons in kano yesterday night ,they killed him ,yes they killed him. Trying to snatch his smart phone by force

Sudan's former President Omar al-Bashir has been moved to Kobar maximum security prison, days after he was deposed in a military coup. Reports say the ex-leader has until now been detained at the presidential residence under heavy guard. He is reportedly being held in solitary confinement and is surrounded by tight security. Suspected herdsmen kill SSS officer, soldier in Benue ambush

Suspected herdsmen have struck again in central Nigerian state of Benue, killing at least one State Security Service (SSS) personnel while abducting two others, multiple security sources familiar with the incident have told PREMIUM TIMES. At least one soldier was also killed in the attack in the restive Logo Local Government Area on Sunday, PREMIUM TIMES learnt. The district head of Gashis community in Plateau State and two others were shot on Sunday evening, an official has said. The transition management committee chairman of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Dickson Chollom, on Monday reported the shooting of the district head in his house and that of two others in a barber’s shop in Barkin Ladi by armed men. “Gwom Rwei Gashis (the district head) is unconscious and has been rushed down to Barkin Ladi general hospital,” he said.
