79 new cases of Coronavirus recorded in Nigeria


79 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday September 13, as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). 

 

The agency gave a breakdown of the new cases across states in the country as follows; Lagos-30, Kaduna-17, Ogun-7, Anambra-5, Kano-4, Katsina-3, FCT-3, Akwa Ibom-3, Oyo-2, Rivers-2, Delta-1, Plateau-1, Ondo-1. 

 

There are now 56,256 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 1, 082 deaths has been recorded.  44,152 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.

WANTED:Nigerian national declared wanted for series of robbery attacks in Ghana

A Nigerian national from   Delta State   has been declared wanted for series of robbery attacks in Ghana . According to Ghana Police Service, the suspect, 29-year-old   Kess Billions   is alleged to be the leader of a ruthless robbery gang terrorizing   Accra, Ghana. The authorities said in a statement that he led his gang to rob a forex bureau at Teshie Tsuibleoo change on the 31st of January, 2018, and they made away with an unspecified amount of money Kess and his gang again reportedly robbed a company on the 16th of February, 2018, and stole a huge sum of money from their victims. He is believed to be hiding in Teshie, Spintex Road in Tema, Aflao, or Nigeria. Read the full statement below.  

Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire released from Police custody after pleading not guilty over alleged police altercation in Mykonos

  Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire has been released after pleading not guilty to charges following an alleged altercation with police while on holiday on the island of Mykonos.    The 27-year-old England international was released from police custody pending a hearing which will be heard on the island of Syros on Tuesday, August 25.    Maguire will be represented at the hearing by his legal team, meaning he is free to travel back to Manchester this weekend.     A Manchester United statement said: “Following the appearance in court today we note the adjournment of the case to allow the legal team to consider the case file.   “Harry has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
