A driver reckless driver rammed into a group of students in Umuchu, Anambra State, killing two on the spot.
 
The incident happened on Wednesday evening, along Osete Expressway, Umuchu. 
 
The students of God's Own Secondary school, Umugama, were heading home when the Hilux van lost control and hit them.

Bodies of the students identified as Chidiebere and Chibuike have been deposited at the morgue. See reports by eyewitnesses below:

A RECKLESS DRIVER HAS KILLED TWO STUDENTS OF GOD'S OWN SCHOOL UMUCHU TODAY ALONG IBUGHUBU ROAD, ACCORDING TO OUR HOME CORRESPONDENT, THE TWO GIRLS (STUDENTS) ARE FROM IBUGHUBU VILLAGE UMUCHU, BUT THEY ARE SCHOOLING AT GOD'S OWN SCHOOL LOCATED IN UMUGAMA VILLAGE UMUCHU.
THEIR BODY HAS BEEN DEPOSITED AT VISITATION MOTAURY UMUCHU.
MAY THEIR GENTLE SOULS REST IN PERFECT PEACE AMEN..... RIP.

                                Queen Elizabeth's husband, Prince Philip has been involved in a car crash near the Sandringham Estate. The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, was driving the car and tried to pull out of a driveway and onto the mainroad, when the accident happened. An eye witness claims that in the process his Land Rover overturned onto its side. Thankfully, the Duke was not injured in the collision. Man arraigned over alleged attempt to use girlfriend for rituals

                                   A 40-year-old businessman, Jide Olayinka, was on Thursday arraigned before an  Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan following an alleged attempt to use his girlfriend for rituals. The police charged the accused on a one-count charge of conduct likely to cause breach of peace by rubbing liquid substance on his private part before having sexual intercourse with the defendant. The prosecutor, Inspector Shalewa Hammed, told the court that the alleged offence took place on February 14, Valentine’s Day about 10pm at Ayegun Oleyo, area of Orita Challenge, Ibadan. Hammed said that the action of the accused caused an acute emaciation of the 33-year-old complainant, Olubunmi Mobinuori.
