
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, arraigned one Ochonma Loveday Iheanyi before Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on a five-count charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of N106,000,000.00 (One Hundred and Six Million Naira).
The suspect was arrested sometime in September 2018, after he benefited the sum of N100m (One Hundred Million Naira) from one Ifeanyi Nwaneri, who is facing trial over an alleged N1.2m POS fraud belonging to Access Bank Plc.

One of the counts reads: “That you, Ochonma Loveday Iheanyi, aka Coy
Lonma Investment Company, between 24th August 2017 and 13th September,
2017, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, converted the
sum of N42,975,000.00 (Forty-Two Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy- Five
Thousand Naira) only, which sum you reasonably ought to know, forms
part of proceeds of an unlawful act to wit: stealing and thereby
committed an offence contrary to Section 15(2)(d) of the Money
laundering (Prohibition) Act 2012 and punishable under Section 15(3)(4)
of the same Act”.
