Woman rejected by ritualists after she boarded a bus in Edo state comes out to narrate how other passengers were killed in her presence

A woman was lucky to escape alive from a ritualist den after the chief priest rejected her, and she has narrated how she watched others get killed after they all boarded a bus together only to find themselves in a forest later.

The woman boarded the bus last Friday in Benin, Edo state, with other passengers, but they were taken to a forest at upper Ekhehuan for ritual purposes.

She told of how she watched them slaughter the only other female passenger who boarded the bus with them. Next, they slaughtered two male passengers. When it got to her turn, the chief priest rejected her and she was thrown out of the forest naked.
She was eventually rescued by passers-by.

Normalcy restored after militants attack Akwa Ibom community – Police

                               The Police Command in Akwa Ibom says it has restored peace to Iwukem community in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state attacked by suspected militants on Sunday. The spokesman for the command, MacDon Achebe, told journalists in Uyo on Tuesday that the police had restored normalcy in the area. Mr Achebe said the police were on top of the situation although he did not confirm the casualty figure. “Police were aware of the attack; we are on top of it and normalcy has been restored to the community,” he said. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that suspected militants attacked the community about 10p.m. on Sunday, shot sporadically and set some houses ablaze. Although the cause of the attack is unknown, the state government, in a move to bring to an end killings and kidnappings, banned cult activities across the state.
