Abuja-based businessman beaten to death by unknown assailants in Enugu

An Abuja-based businessman was beaten to death by unknown assailants in Enugu.
The deceased, Chinedu Nzegwu popularly known as Obroshoo by friends, was attacked by the assailants few days before his return to Abuja. They reportedly hit him with a stick on the head leaving him for dead.

Late Nzegwu, a Pure and Industrial Chemistry graduate of the University of Port Harcourt,  is a former student of Dennis Memorial Grammar School DMGS, Onitsha, Anambra State.
His friends and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn his tragic death. One of them Nwachi Viktor, wrote:
"Murdered in cold blood in Enugu by fellow ndi igbo. Another young and hardworking man from Onitsha.He was my junior in Dennis Memorial Grammar school Onitsha. Trying to understand why they had to beat him to death,he was never a thief and came from a good home. Rest in peace Chinedu Nzegwu. No one is safe in Nigeria!"

The police on Thursday announced they killed a Port Harcourt kidnap kingpin who has been on their wanted list. The man, identified as Prosper David, was killed during a shoot-out between the police and his gang, according to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Jimoh Moshood. EFCC Boss Magu, in Vienna, Calls for More International Collaboration against Corruption

Magu in middle                                    Ibrahim Magu, acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has stressed the importance of having an effective international collaboration between law enforcement agencies as part of efforts to combat corruption in the country. Magu, who was speaking at the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities, IAACA, in Vienna, Austria, January 24, 2019 noted that the cost o f corruption was enormous and needed a broader approach to be tackled. “Corruption is acknowledged to have been an impediment to sustainable development in Africa, and the cost is so enormous that there is an urgent need for international collaboration for success to be achieved,” he said. Trump receive highest honor in the country for his role in historic peace deal with Serbia

  Kosovo has given US President Donald Trump, its highest honor on Friday, September 18, for his role in a historic peace deal agreed with Serbia earlier this month.   Kosovo President Hashim Thaci awarded Trump the country’s Order of Freedom “for his exceptional contribution for the freedom of Kosovo and the strengthening of Peace and reconciliation in the region.” According to the president,  the award is given to those who made significant contributions to defending Kosovo’s freedom.   President Thaci also said he was giving Presidential Medals of Merit to National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien and Richard Grenell, who served as intermediaries during the talks.   The award comes after Trump oversaw the signing of the agreement between Serbia and Kosovo earlier this month, which normalizes economic relations between both countries.
