Herbalist arrested in Osun state

Yesterday, after the parade of three suspected ritualists cum fraudsters who were recently arrested, the Osun State Police Commissioner, Olafimihan Adeoye led other top officers of the command to their shrine in Ilase-Ijesha.

The ring leader of the ritualistic gang, , Afolabi Ganiyu, popularly called Ifatoki, gave an insight into how they used to carry out their heinous operation, before they met their Waterloo.

The police discreet investigation revealed that the suspects are a gang of ritualists and impersonators. Items recovered from the suspects include one mirror, booklet of receipts, six calabash, one wooden box, three charms account book, one local pot and a complete local attire with a cap.

Police allegedly under intense pressure to release detained traditional ruler and his son arrested for a series of crimes

The Lagos State Police are allegedly under intense pressure to release a traditional ruler and his son, who were arrested back in July in Satellite Town, Lagos.   Yusufu Olarinde, aka Prince, is the son of  Alhaji Latifu Sadiku, the self-acclaimed traditional ruler of Oguntedo community in Satellite town, Lagos.   Yusuf was arrested in July at Abule Oshun after he allegedly led his gang to a warehouse to rob and extort the owners early on Saturday, July 18. During the operation, the attempt was resisted by locals, leading to a fierce crisis.
