The Bauchi State Police Command on Wednesday, paraded suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and fraudsters arrested in various part of the state.
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the Command Headquarters, the Police Public Relations Officer,  DSP Kamal Datti, said five members of an armed robbery gang including a 42-year-old woman, were arrested over a December attack at a filling station.
"On 16/12/2017 at about 0100hrs unknown gunmen numbering about four (4) stormed KAMS Universal Concept Ltd. filling station along Bauchi - Jos road attacked and killed the manager of the said filling station one Usman Suleiman “m” 35yrs, they also grievously wounded one Muhammadu Salisu “m” 25yrs of Guru village Bauchi LGA and equally robbed them of their GSM handsets, including one Tecno T401, one LG Mobile and a Samsung.

Following a discreet investigation by the operatives attached to State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the Command, the following suspects were arrested in connection with the case.
i. Onyeka David aka Swag “m” 27yrs, 
ii. Onyeka Okeke “m” 30yrs, 
iii. Grace Otopa “f” 42yrs, 
iv. Happy Henry “m” 32yrs, 
v. Okechukwu Ezissi “m” 42yrs,  all of Bauchi metropolis.

In a related development, on February 5, 2018, the command received a complaint from one Auwalu Rabiu of Yashi Village, Alkaleri LGA, that on the same date at about 0200hrs, unknown person(s) broke into his shop at the same address and stole many  GSM phones and accessories belonging to his customers which they brought to him for charging.

Following a discreet investigation by the operatives attached to X–squad of the command the following suspects were arrested at Bayan Gari area of Bauchi in connection with case:
i. Abubaka  Muhammed ‘m’ of Nasara Jahun Bauchi
ii. Yahuza Adamu “m” of Bara Village, kirfi LGA,
Both suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime.
Exhibits recovered include:
Thirty five “35” GSM phones of different type 
Twelve “12” Chargers 
Two (2) Ear Piece 
Eleven Sim Cards 
Four (4) Sim Packs 
Seven Card (7) Readers
Thirteen (13) Batteries 
Four (4) Phone Jackets

CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND BEING IN POSSESSION OF SEVENTY THREE (73) PIECES OF AMERICAN DOLLARS REASONABLE SUSPECTED TO BE FAKE CURRENCY
On 04/02/2018 at about 1530hrs based on a tip-off the Police attached to Gumau Dvision traced and arrested one Mustapha Auwalu in possession of seventy three (73) pieces of fake American Dollars, the suspect confessed that the currency is fake and is also volunteering useful information that are assisting the Police in the investigation.
ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY/KIDNAPPING SUSPECTS
On 6/02/2018 at about 0100hrs unknown gunmen stormed the residence of one Dr. Abubakar Gambo “m” 40yrs of Liman Katagum of Bauchi LGA robbed him of the cash sum of Three hundred and fifty thousand naira (N350,000:00), thereafter kidnapped him to Zungur Forest and kept him hostage for three (3) days before he managed to escaped. The syndicate also robbed one Usman Adamu of his Boxer Motorcycle and other valuables.
Following a discreet investigation by the operatives attached to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad/Anti-Kidnapping (FSARS/AKU) the following suspects were arrested in connection with case.
i. Idris Haruna  “m” 27yrs,
ii. Hassan Adamu “m” 30yrs, 
iii. Abubakar Jabbo “m” 20yrs,
iv. Salisu Umar aka Babangida “m” 32yrs.
Both suspects confessed to the crime and are cooperating with Police in the investigation.
ARREST OF NOTORIOUS FRAUDSTERS THAT SPECIALIZED  IN DISPOSSESSING UNSUSPECTED VICTIMS TRICKISHLY:
On the 13/02/2018, at about 1718hrs,  operatives attached to State Intelligence  Bureau (SIB) while on surveillance patrol around Yelwa/Rafin Zurfi areas of Bauchi LGA, arrested one Abdullah Buhari ‘m’ 24yrs and Abubakar Aliyu 26yrs m all of Zoo Road, Kano, the suspects specialized in tricking unsuspected passersby and dispossessed them of their valuables.
They criminally pretend to be moving separately, while one of them would approach a target person and ask him/her a question.  Whatever the answer to the question might be, he will then reciprocate the gesture (audience given) by offering to assist him as well. Subsequently, the other accomplice will come in and join the conversation with a view to convince the target person. It is through this process the man will end up being dispossessed of his/her either cell phone, cash, laptop computer, ATM card or gold jewelry or any other valuable.

You may recall that, the said Abdullahi Buhari was once arrested in possession of over twenty ATM cards of different banks, all gotten in a fraudulent way while attempting to defraud unsuspecting customer by swapping his ATM card with wrong one. He was charged to court but released on bail.
All cases mentioned above are under investigation and will soon be charged be charge to court for prosecution.

Nigerian footballer arrested with drugs in India

A Nigerian national living with an expired visa has been nabbed with crystal meth from northeast Delhi during a midnight raid. On further inspection, the teams also recovered cocaine from the accused, Ikenna's house. He was arrested with 10 grams of crystal meth brought from Mumbai. He was subsequently taken to his house in Kardampuri in Jyoti Nagar where 18 grams of cocaine was also recovered. DCP (northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur said on Sunday, April 14, that they were tipped off about Ikenna, who has been residing in India without a visa since 2013 and had entered the country initially as a professional football player. A team led by ACP Gokulpuri Anuj Kumar nabbed him while he was on his way to a party where he was about to sell the contraband. Later, when the officers reached his house, they found more drugs. Ikenna interrogation revealed an inter-state racket involving smuggling of party drugs. He told the cops that he was the third person in the chain of supplier

EFCC FREEZES N905M ($2.51M) IN SUSPECTED SLUSH ACCOUNT

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen about N905, 941,696.87 ($2,510,000.00) in an account traced to a sole proprietorship company Rivlink International. The huge inflows into the suspected slush account allegedly came from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority The owner of the company, Christian Robinson, is deceased. A man, Kenneth Koroma, made futile attempts to withdraw the cash. A source said: “The EFCC received an intelligence report on November 2 alleging that a sole proprietorship firm, Rivlink International, had huge inflows from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority in an account with a new generation bank. The said account had a closing balance of N905, 941,696.87. The company was registered in 2000 using a fictitious name of one Christian Robinson. But the account was opened in 2001 as sole proprietorship with Mr. Christian Robinson as the sole proprietor. “He, however, appointed Mr. Kenneth Koroma as the s
