Caleb University student arrested for drug peddling, impersonating military officer


Ahmed Hassan, a 26-year-old ZOO-level student of
Architecture of Caleb University, has been arrested in
Lagos, for parading himself as an officer ofthe
Nigerian Air Force for months.

According to Punchng, Hassan was arrested with an
accomplice, Ibrahim Yahaya, a commercial
motorcycle rider he met in the Sabo, lkorodu, where
he made him believe that he was an Air Force Flying
Officer. .
It was gathered that Yahaya consequently became
his errand boy and assisted him in buying hard drugs.
He, however, met his Waterloo on January 30, when
he asked Yahaya to bring 11 packs of codeine and a
pack of Rohypnol to his school. .

The police reportedly caught the motorcycle rider as
he was about to enter the school premises. Yahaya
led the operatives to the lgbogbo area where Hassan
was arrested. .
When paraded at the Lagos State Police Command
headquarters, lkeja, Hassan revealed that he got the
uniform from a military friend. He noted that he wore
the uniform to intimidate the school guards. .

He said, "I am from Kaduna State and lam a 200-
level student of Architecture at Caleb University. I got
the uniform from my friend, Rufai. I took codeine and
Rohypnol in school. .
limpersonated a military officer in order to intimidate
the security men at the school gate so that they won't
check a bag where I keep the drugs. I don’t sell them."

Twitter account of India’s Prime Minister Modi hacked

Eleven Nigerians die of COVID-19 in South Africa

  The Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) Says 11 Nigerians have so far died of COVID-19 in the country.   In a statement released, the president of the union, Adetola Olubajo, said that the COVID-19 deaths were for Gauteng Province alone, adding that the union is yet to receive figures from eight other provinces in South Africa.
