EFF: H&M store trashing just the beginning

National Spokesperson for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, refused to apologise for the trashing of an H&M store in Gauteng on Saturday.
National Spokesperson for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, refused to apologise for the trashing of an H&M store in Gauteng on Saturday, adding that the oppression of black people would not be tolerated anymore.
Supporters of the EFF wreaked havoc at H&M stores at Sandton City and Menlyn Malls, forcing the retailer to close all of its stores around the country – to protect its staff. This was part of a nationwide protest, by the EFF, against a racist sweater advert by the retailer.
The sentiment in the EFF is that racism needs to be physically confronted.
“We will never apologize for fighting against any usage of the color of our skin as a means of our oppression, exclusion, humiliation and denigration,” said Ndlozi.
“#EFFProtest against H&M is not only the implementation of a historic duty; it is absolutely justified! The time of apologies for racism are over; there must be consequences to anti-black racism, period,” added Ndlozi.
Ndlozi warned that this would just be the beginning, adding that any form of racism from South African institutions would not be tolerated.
“Every single racist institution will be visited by the red brigade to ensure there are consequences to any denigration of the black race. #EFFprotest against H&M is not the last one,” he said.
Chief Whip of the EFF in the National Assembly, Floyd Shivambu echoed similar sentiments, adding that H&M was merely dealing with the consequences of its own actions.
“That @hm nonsense of a clothing store is now facing consequences for its racism. All rational people should agree that the store should not be allowed to continue operating in South Africa. Well done to Fighters who physically confronted racism,” read a Shivambu tweet this weekend.

She noted that research had promised “life-changing possibilities” for those diagnosed with certain types of cancer, and in particular for individuals diagnosed at an advanced stage where the chances of survival were low. According to her, we have made good progress from the world lens, same accolades cannot be taken when considering sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Nigeria. “Studies have shown that basic breast cancer screenings like clinical ...
