SECURITY TIPS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY


This information has been produced as an easy guide to help you take appropriate measures to improve your personal security. The specific security precautions required will vary for each reader depending on the current, or proposed activities the individual is/may be involved in. Threat assessments are required to provide security advice to individual personnel subject to specific threat.
It should be remembered that:
"No one can have greater interest in protecting the life of a person or his or her
family than that person himself/herself. Personal security cannot be a delegated
task. The greater the effort an individual puts into his/her personal security the
greater the degree of safety the individual will enjoy for himself and his family".
The aim of the information is not to cause alarm or anxiety but to provide general security advice to individuals in order to minimise risks or perceived risks to them and their families because of their status and work in which they are engaged.
Criminals and Terrorists routinely conduct surveillance on an intended target for a considerable period of time before an act is carried out. Being conscious of your environment and implementing security precautions in your daily lives is therefore a good practice. Good security procedures and awareness of your surroundings make you a much harder target.

Conversely those with poor security measures and procedures give the impression of being a much easier target. Each individual should devise a self-protective strategy to combat the general threat imposed on them.
Now that we have established that YOU have a primary role in your family's personal security, it is advised that you should regularly check your self- protective strategy to ensure that you are:
  1. Minimising your predictable patterns;
  2. Adopting a low profile in your personal life;
  3. Aware of current terrorist/criminal activities and attacks in general;
  4. Satisfied with the defensive measures around your home(s) and workplace; and know who to talk to if you are not;
  5. Monitoring practices adopted by yourself, your family and immediate staff for effective protection.
  6. Above all, see your local police officers as invaluable partners and dependable allies in the enhancement of your personal security and that of your family and community.

Parents charged in horrific murder of their 4-year-old daughter who was boiled alive on New Year's day

                      A Michigan couple has been charged with one of the most heinous murders that is being referred to as the "worst child death case" ever after their 4-year-old daughter died in a "scalding bath" in Michigan. Candice Diaz, 24, and Brad Fields, 28, were charged with murder, torture, and child abuse and both denied bail. Gabrielle died on New Year's Day after living a life filled with abuse. Doctors say she suffered multiple injuries, including severe burns on her limbs after she was in a bath with scalding hot water. A medical practitioner, who examined Gabrielle Barrett's body, described the alleged murder as the "worst child death case" in 27 years of his career, according to a court document. The document also allegedly states that the four-year-old was burned so badly that her big toe fell off, and police found melted skin in the drain. Manager of artiste who died in studio makes startling claims, accuses police of refusing to release the corpse to family

Adams Yemmy, the manager of one of the artistes who died in a studio in the Alagbado area of Lagos, on Saturday, September 12, made some startling claims on the incident.   Two musicians identified as Ajibawo Lawal and Sunday Akhigbe, popularly known as Santa Boya, were found dead inside a studio in Awolusi Bus stop on September 3. Six others were found unconscious.   They were found dead by residents around 7 a.m, after an all night performance inside the studio. The residents told a police source that a generator and some hard drugs were found inside the studio.   This has led to speculations that they might have died as a result of the hard drugs or fumes from the generator.   However, Yemmy, the CEO of Darootz Entertainment took to Facebook on Saturday, September 12, to debunk the alcocol and drug speculations.
