Smoke alarms are a key part
of a home fire escape plan. When there is
a fire, smoke spreads fast. Working smoke
alarms give you early warning so you can
get outside quickly.

SAFETY TIPS
⚫Install smoke alarms inside and outside each
bedroom and sleeping area. Install alarms on every
level of the home. Install alarms in the basement.
⚪Large homes may need extra smoke alarms.
⚫It is best to use interconnected smoke alarms.
When one smoke alarm sounds they all sound.
⚪Test all smoke alarms at least once a month.
Press the test button to be sure the alarm is working.
⚫There are two kinds of alarms. Ionization smoke
alarms are quicker to warn about flaming fires.
Photoelectric alarms are quicker to warn about
smoldering fires. It is best to use both types of
alarms in the home.
⚪A smoke alarm should be on the ceiling or high
on a wall. Keep smoke alarms away from the
kitchen to reduce false alarms. They should be
at least 10 feet (3 meters) from the stove.
🔸 People who are hard-of-hearing or deaf can use
special alarms. These alarms have strobe lights
and bed shakers.
🔹 Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10
years old.

Ex-President Omar al-Bashir sent to prison days after he was ousted in a military coup

Sudan's former President Omar al-Bashir has been moved to Kobar maximum security prison, days after he was deposed in a military coup. Reports say the ex-leader has until now been detained at the presidential residence under heavy guard. He is reportedly being held in solitary confinement and is surrounded by tight security. Months of protests in Sudan led to the ousting and arrest of the long-time ruler on Thursday. Uganda's Minister for Foreign Affairs Henry Oryem Okello told Reuters news agency the country would consider offering the deposed leader asylum if he applied, despite an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). APC youth leader shot dead by suspected armed robbers while attempting to rescue female petrol station attendant in Edo State

Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Wednesday, March 28, shot dead the youth leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako West local government of Edo State, Samson Sedi. Sedi, popularly known as Power Remain, was allegedly killed by armed robbers while attempting to rescue a female petrol station attendant at NNPC mega in Jattu, Etsako West Local Government Area, who was being robbed on Wednesday in Jattu. Tyga and his 5-year-old son are being sued over unpaid rent. According to TMZ, they are being sued by Simon Cowell's makeup artist and ex-fiancee, Mezhgan Hussainy . The report claims that Tyga rented a Beverly Hills house from Hussainy for $40K a month. He moved in March of 2017 and was paying his rent until he stopped. In the report, Hussainy claims that the rapper stopped paying rent in January 2018. She's hoping to evict Tyga from her property and wants to get all of the rent back. The suit against Tyga also lists his five-year-old son King Cairo because he listed him on the lease. In the suit, the child is listed as "other defendants."
