                                       The Chief Whip of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chike Ogiji, was on Friday arraigned by the police before a Magistrate Court in the Abakaliki district for alleged certificate forgery. Mr Ogiji, who represents Ikwo South constituency, was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on swearing of false affidavit and forgery of exam papers and primary school testimonial. After the charges were read to him, Mr Ogiji pleaded not guilty. His counsel, Emeka Odom, then urged the court to grant him bail.                                                 The WHO is preparing for the worst case scenario in an Ebola outbreak in a remote area of Congo, including spread to a major town. WHO Deputy Director-General of Emergency Preparedness and Response, Peter Salama, on Friday told a regular UN briefing in Geneva that he hoped the Democratic Republic of Congo would give the green light within days for the deployment of an experimental vaccine, but warned that the drug was complicated to use and was not a magic bullet.                       A six-month-old baby was brutally killed with a pickaxe, allegedly by her own father, after he accused her mother of cheating. The infant's father, 27-year-old Lesiba Motsai, appeared on murder charges at the Mookgophong Magistrate's Court in Limpopo last Friday. Baby Bonolo's grieving mother Modjadji Marikhela, 19, has vowed to avenge her daughter's death if her former partner is released on bail. "I'm heartbroken and I don't know what an innocent baby did to him to be slaughtered like an animal. I want him to die. I don't want to see him again because if he comes I'm going to mobilise the community to kill him," she said.                 On Thursday, emergency service officials said that three men armed with guns and knives slit the throats of three worshippers at a mosque near Durban in South Africa and a person was killed. One of the victims jumped from a side window of the building, which had been set ablaze sending smoke billowing, said Prem Balram, a spokesman for Reaction Unit SA, a private emergency service, who was among the first on the scene.  “One of the three has just died on his way to hospital. The other two are in critical condition,” said Balram, adding that the suspects fled in a white car. “The suspects were Egyptian males. The local people here identified them.” South African police said the motive of the attack at a mosque on the Old Main Road in Ottawa the KwaZulu-Natal province was unknown and they were investigating.                                    A Sudanese teenager was sentenced to death by a court for stabbing her husband to death as he raped her. Noura Hussein, 19, was forced by her parents to marry her cousin when she was only 16. She was forced to sign the marriage contract in 2014. She then escaped to a relative's house in eastern Sudan before the wedding ceremony was completed. She was away for three years, but her father found her and tricked her into returning to her husband. Hussein refused to have sex with her husband after she was returned to him. After six days of refusal, her husband recruited some of his cousins to help him hold her down so he could rape her. Congo’s minister of health has just announced the first death since a new Ebola outbreak was declared in the country, as well as nine other cases of people sickened by a hemorrhagic fever that is suspected as Ebola. Health officials declared an Ebola outbreak in the country’s northwest on Tuesday after lab tests confirmed the deadly virus in two cases from the town of Bikoro in the Equateur province. Officials from the World Health Organization and other international health agencies are in the area to help contain the outbreak’s spread. Seven people with a hemorrhagic fever, including two confirmed cases of Ebola, were hospitalized in Bikoro as of Thursday, according to Health Minister Oly Ilunga.
